High School Madness 2025: Southwest High School Claims Victory in Epic Showdown
The atmosphere was amazing at the Imperial County Fairgrounds as High School Madness 2025 brought together students from across the Valley for a night of intense competition, school spirit, and unforgettable performances. From tug-of-war to human pyramids, the annual event featured a variety of thrilling challenges, creating an atmosphere of excitement and friendly rivalry.
A Night Full of Energy and Competition
The evening kicked off with a dynamic performance from the Southwest High School SAVAPA dance team, setting the stage for an action-packed night. The 2025 Junior Fair Board was also introduced, recognizing their critical role in planning and executing the event.
Throughout the night, teams competed in a series of high-energy games, showcasing their strength, teamwork, and school pride. 760 News Media live-streamed the entire event, capturing every moment of the action. Winners Take Home Cash Prizes
After a fierce battle of school spirit, the top three teams were crowned:
🥉 3rd Place: Calexico High School – $100
🥈 2nd Place: Central Spartans – $300
🥇 1st Place: Southwest High School Eagles – $500
The prize money, sponsored by Sun Community Federal Credit Union, will go toward each school to support their programs.
In addition to the main event, high schools from across the Valley also participated in the highly anticipated Battle of the Bands. Drumlines from various schools competed, bringing even more energy to the night with powerful beats and synchronized performances.
